it is a technology that assists in gathering information about
a person or organization without their knowledge.Spyware is
programming that is put in someone's computer to secretly gather
information about the user and relay it to advertisers or other
interested parties.
What
is the purpose of the Spyware ?
While
they are sometimes sinister, like a remote control program
used by a hacker, software companies have been known to use
spyware to gather data about customers. The practice is generally
frowned upon.
Is
Spyware illegal ?
Spyware is not
an illegal type of software in any way. However there are
certain issues that a privacy oriented user may object to
and therefore prefer not to use the product. This usually
involves the tracking and sending of data and statistics via
a server installed on the user's PC and the use of your Internet
connection in the background.
